(Headquarters: Minato Ward, Tokyo; President, CEO and Representative Director: Shunsuke Noda; hereinafter, "the Company") announced that, for the first time, it has been selected as a constituent of the FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index, a stock index for Japanese companies that meet the global ESG (Environmental, Society, and Governance) standards.
FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index, developed by global index provider FTSE Russell, reflects the performance of Japanese companies in each sector in terms of environmental, social, and governance. The index is designed to be sector neutral. The Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) which manages and operates Japanese public pension has also adopted the index as ESG index and begun passive investment tracking it.
