BELLSYSTEM24 Opens New Center in Sapporo, Making for the Biggest Footprint of Contact Centers in Japan, with 31 Around the Country and 5 in Hokkaido Alone

16,200 booths, the largest number of self-owned booths in the country, with 5,600 booths in Hokkaido alone

BELLSYSTEM24, Inc (Representative Director, President, CEO: Tsuge Ichiro; Headquarters: Chuo Ward, Tokyo; Referred to below as "BELLSYSTEM24") opened "Sapporo Solution Center 4" (Sapporo SC 4) this June, its 31st center, making for the largest footprint in the country.* Sapporo SC 4 is located in the Sapporo Fukoku Seimei Koshiyama Building and is BELLSYSTEM24's fifth center in Hokkaido, with a scale of 600 booths. BELLSYSTEM24 will create 700 new jobs with Sapporo SC 4.

With this center, BELLSYSTEM24's footprint in Hokkaido reached 5,600 booths (with four centers in Sapporo city adding up to 4,700 booths and one center in Asahikawa containing 900 booths). The five centers in Hokkaido comprise approximately 1/3 of BELLSYSTEM24's 16,200 booths, with BELLSYSTEM24's 5,600 booths in Hokkaido adding up to be the largest network of contact centers on the island.

While the shortage of human resources around the country became a prominent social problem starting last year, BELLSYSTEM24 has considered "Personnel x Centers" to be a key pillar of its growth strategy. In the process of selecting a location for this new center, BELLSYSTEM24 considered which area would provide a more pleasant environment to allow employees to work for the company longer, finally deciding on a particularly convenient location.

With Sapporo Solution Center 4, BELLSYSTEM24 used feedback from employee satisfaction surveys to improve primarily the breakrooms and locker rooms in the following ways.

  • A relaxing color scheme and layout that uses white and olive-brown colors
  • Breakroom spaces with more individual seating
  • Free WiFi provided in the breakrooms
  • Shoe boxes in locker rooms specially made for boots (to account for the snowy winter season)

BELLSYSTEM24 considers its People x Centers strategy to be a central pillar of its growth strategy, having made over 200 limited-term employees into regular employees last fiscal year, also having opened: a "Small Office" center in the suburbs for people who want to cut down their commute times and work shorter shifts, a pavilion in KidZania in order to improve employee motivation, a day-care center in a contact center in Okinawa, and more.

As the leading company in its industry, BELLSYSTEM24 will continue to promote new initiatives that go beyond past conceptions in order to allow for more diverse work-styles and increase employee satisfaction.
